Why it works?
Stepping into a Hybrid HIIT class at Rise Athletics LA is so much more than a regular workout. Los Angeles HIIT Classes are designed to build muscular strength and increase cardiovascular fitness. Strength training and high intensity interval training are two key components to a solid workout routine. Each day, we build upon both of these areas so our members results are maximized with each workout that has been completed.
What can I expect in a Hybrid HIIT class?
We generally split the workout into 4 segments.
- Warm Up – Raise the core temperature of the body by completing a dynamic warm up and performing movement preparations for the workout planned
- Strength & Weightlifting – This segment is used to develop strength and improve skills needed to complete movements such as the clean and jerk, snatch, overhead squat and more.
- METCON (metabolic conditioning)/ WOD (workout of the day) – Time to get that heart rate up and burn those calories. During the WOD, there will be a combination of strength and cardio movements to make up a HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) style workout. This can be an AMRAP (As Many Rounds As Possible) in a certain amount of time, an EMOM (Every Minute On the Minute) type workout or a variation of the two.
- Cool Down/Core – After completing the workout, it is time to relax, stretch and even get some extra core work in. Good job on a day well done!
